Who we are

PureFell Cleaning is the data controller for the personal data described here. We provide eco-friendly carpet and upholstery cleaning in Penrith and across the Lake District. For any privacy question or request, contact us at purefellcleaning@gmail.com or 07771 041327.

What data we collect

When you request a quote through our website, we collect the details you provide:

• Your name
• Your email address and phone number
• Your postcode and property type
• Details of the cleaning you need, and any message you send us
• Whether you have opted in to marketing

We also collect limited, cookieless analytics about how the site is used, and - only if you consent - more detailed analytics (see "Cookies and analytics" below).

How and why we use your data

• To respond to your quote request and provide our cleaning services.
• To contact you about your enquiry or booking.
• To send marketing only where you have given consent - you can opt out at any time.
• To understand and improve how our website performs.

Our legal bases are your consent (for marketing and analytics cookies) and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of trusted providers that process data on our behalf:

• Web3Forms - delivers your quote-form submission to our inbox by email.
• Vercel - hosts the website and provides cookieless, aggregated traffic analytics.
• Google Analytics - if you accept analytics cookies, helps us understand site usage in more detail.

Cookies and analytics

Our basic traffic analytics (Vercel) are cookieless and do not identify you, so they run without cookies. Google Analytics, which does set cookies, only loads if you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.

How long we keep it

We keep quote enquiries for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, unless we need to keep related records longer to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations (in the UK, financial records are typically kept for six years). After that they are deleted.

Where your data is processed

Some of our providers (for example Vercel and Google) may process data on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards - such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision - to keep your data protected.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Object to or restrict how we use it.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
